Adding just a bit of market doesn't do the trick

In his The Pulse article Every reform needs examples more than advocates of December 21st, Anders Sandberg writes that there is a common belief that one can just add market power to a small part of the health care system and then it will magically improve efficiency everywhere else. Experience has shown that sometimes could get worse instead, especially if prices are centrally regulated.
