The slippery slope argument is invalid
In his The Pulse article Make a Clean Breast of It of May 24th, Anders Sandberg points out that the recent decision of the UK Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority of allowing screening of embryos for a wide range of genetic conditions allows for finding better cures. Sandberg also states that the HFEA's decision shows that the slippery slope argument in bioethics is starting to loose its appeal.
