Mail order gender tests
In his The Pulse article Undermining the Law (or Your Money Back) of June 28th, Anders Sandberg explores how technology is undermining sex selection legislation.
Despite the laws in the EU member countries generally being adverse to embryonic sex selection, early mail order gender tests are changing the information monopolies about people's bodies. Sandberg concludes that societies where reproductory rights are enshrined and abortion is available are unable to stop these test for being used.
