Quarantine compensation fights pandemias

In his The Pulse article Compensating a Rational Worry of July 12th, Anders Sandberg explains the booming field of epidemiology.

Worries about the avian flu are starting to be seen as overblown, while untreatable drug- resistant tubercolosis is starting to worry epidemiologists. Another widely discussed topic is when it is possible to quarantine persons that are suspected of contagion. Sandberg presents his ideas for how a liberal quarantine system might look, and how it may prove more efficient than forceful quarantines.
