Protectionism leads to stagnation in product development
On the Eudoxa Harm reduction BBS, Simon Espersen of the Copenhagen Institute writes about the temptations that some companies may see in close cooperation with national health authorities.
One of the attractions of course, is the perspective of keeping away existing or potential competitors from the market, which one's own company is operating on. Espersen predicts that the short term benefits may very quickly be counter-balanced by long term downsides.
