In his The Pulse article of March 13th, The Big Blue Journal Anders Sandberg explains how IBM's innovative virtual health care island in Second Life hightlights a vital issue in e-health: security. Control of the underlying hardware or software at the endpoints- at the physician's office or at the patient's home - potentially gives total access even if the intervening system has perfect security.
