Long Live the 60th anniversary of the glorious Workers Party of Korea?
Swedish daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter has put together a flash animation about the 60th anniversary of the communist party of North Korea. Is it a tribute? Just a document of contemporary North Korea or some kind of covert criticism of the regime?
Luckily that is not the relevant question at hand. I do think it is interesting that this kind of orchestrated Leni Riefenstahl-like events do not build the same kind of enthusiasm as they used to. People do need pathos, but the pathos-building events of the information age will be different because there is a lack of interactivity in orchestrated event.
