Heja TCS!
On the 12th of December Tech Central Station started its new site. It will be most interesting to see the new features they have put on the site, and I'll try my best to continue covering issues on TCS Europe in my articles.
The European editor Craig Winneker writes about his experiences during these first years.
I would like to add to that yet another important part TCS Europe has played, through launching new European authors. I'm not even particularly point out the fact of these being liberal/libertarian/conservative European writers, it is difficult for everyone. Much of the media in Europe is quite difficult for the "outs" to get into, thus rendering it very difficult for a writer to cultivate that necessary continuity in order to develop his/her writing. Yes, I had been published in MSM, but without TCS I would have never been able to regularly improve myself.
In TCS Europe I have also been able to read and write articles that not only differ from much of the MSM in their political outlook but also in their style and content. I often get the impression of being able to write more freely about topics at TCS.
Besides, Europe needs pan-European media. Media that cover the ever more important EU policy and politics. Here TCS has an important role, not only for giving a free-market, anti-regulation, free-trade opinion on this arena but because many Members of the European Parliament often lack a feedback. The media "back home" seldom write about what happens in Brussels and Strasbourg, thus leaving them in a bubble.
TCS Europe has sown a seed, that if tendered properly will bring a very interesting new generation of intellectuals to Europe.
